The location is perfect for visiting major attractions, and the room was spacious with a kitchenette. Parking instructions were confusing, and the air conditioning was ineffective at times, which made it uncomfortable. Loved the happy hour options nearby.

Comfy beds and clean rooms. Wi-Fi was slow and no refrigerator.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice kitchen amenities are a plus. Parking is a hassle and can be expensive. You might struggle with the TV reception. The restaurant has a happy hour that’s worth checking out.

I was blown away by how spotless the rooms and facilities were! The staff went above and beyond, allowing early check-in and even treating us to free cookies at the cafe! Plus, the location couldn't be better—everything was within walking distance!

would recommend 😊❤️

The two queen beds were exceptionally comfortable, providing a restful night’s sleep. the bathroom felt cramped and dated, lacking a vent. Noise from the mechanical systems was noticeable, which detracted from the overall comfort. Despite this, the heating kept the room cozy during the cool weather. A fan was provided when the room got warm. It lacked modern entertainment options, as the TV only offered analog channels. The cleanliness was commendable, with housekeeping maintaining a high standard.

The hotel is a short walk from the White House and the Washington Monument, making it super easy to explore all the must-see spots like the Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian museums, which are all within a leisurely stroll of about 20 to 30 minutes, perfect for soaking in the city's vibe. The Deluxe King Room was spacious and clean, with features like a mini kitchenette that made our stay feel special and comfortable. Although the check-in experience could have been smoother, as the front desk staff was a bit unhelpful, the cleanliness and charm of the building more than made up for it.

The heating was a bit of an issue as my husband and I found ourselves quite chilly during the night. We were provided with small heaters, but they took a while to warm up the room. Unfortunately, there were no grabbing bars in the bathroom, making it a bit difficult for my elderly mother to feel secure. The bathroom tiles could have used a good bleaching, and plastic liners were missing from the trash cans and ice bucket. the room had a comfortable sitting area and a nice terrace where we could enjoy some fresh air. I appreciated the kitchen facilities, but was disappointed to find that essential items for basic food preparation, like salt, pepper, and cooking oil, were not provided. The coffee station lacked creamer, which was a small inconvenience. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but there were instances of housekeeping entering rooms without knocking, which was quite intrusive. I was taken aback when housekeeping entered my room without permission and again when housekeeping was found lingering inside. State Plaza has room for improvement in terms of providing essential amenities and ensuring guest privacy. Despite the shortcomings, the location was perfect for sightseeing and the sitting area in the room was a nice touch.

The room was spacious and had a small kitchen, perfect for making quick meals.

It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but the value was decent for what you get.

The spacious room was a gem, perfect for three with big suitcases. A well-stocked kitchen made meals easy, and the comfortable bed felt like a cloud. Friendly staff added a nice touch, yet the lack of a refrigerator and ice machine was inconvenient. The location was ideal for sightseeing, but the area around the hotel had a few rough edges. Uncomfortable moments arose with the warm room—not quite ready for summer heat—but the window solved that. Cleanliness stood out, but a more welcoming vibe from staff would have brightened the experience.

So, we ended up driving around forever trying to find parking after checking in. The front desk didn’t give clear directions, and the alley entrance was blocked by cars. It was super frustrating, but we finally figured it out.

The location is perfect for sightseeing and very close to great restaurants! The staff is super friendly, and the lobby feels bright and safe.

The smell of detergent in the room was a bit overwhelming.

Location is ideal, just a short walk to dining and metro. Kitchen amenities were impressive, especially during the heat. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Classic decor adds charm, yet the building shows its age. Most comfortable bed I encountered on my trip. there were serious issues. Heating was inadequate; a space heater was provided. Room cleanliness needed attention, with debris on the floor. Communication breakdowns at the front desk were frustrating. I faced a water outage for a day, and compensation was lacking. While expanding the dining options would be beneficial, this hotel has potential. Would recommend for a basic stay, but be prepared for shortcomings.

Visiting monuments was a blast, like a historical treasure hunt. The charming restaurant at the zoo was a delight, cute animals and tasty meals. Who knew a financial district could be a perfect spot for meetings, super convenient!

Having 6 cups of coffee but no restroom close, a true puzzle to solve.

Room was spacious & clean, with a useful kitchenette for snacks. Location was prime - nearby restaurants & iconic landmarks. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Parking was a hassle, with no clear directions. Restaurant & amenities fell short, no weekend service or basic kitchen supplies.

My friends and I had a blast in DC! We hit up all 19 Smithsonian museums like pros and even saw some funky animals at the National Zoo. Walking around the National Mall was tight, and we got some sick pics at the Lincoln Memorial.

Yo, it would've been lit if the hotel had a chill rooftop bar for us party animals to hang out after a long day of exploring! .

Enjoyed exploring Lincoln Memorial & National Zoo. Convenient location for cultural experiences. Hotel allows easy access to these attractions without the need for long commutes.

For dads, more kid-friendly amenities needed.

During my Christmas stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and well-heated room. The complimentary WiFi was excellent, and the location near George Washington University was perfect for exploring the city. The room layout with a kitchenette and dressing room off the bath was convenient. Additionally, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

There were a couple of downsides to my stay. The confusion with the two separate buildings was a bit annoying, as the staff didn't initially inform me.

Our stay at this centrally located hotel was delightfully cool, but bring a hat for intense sun near the "Mall" as a family guest. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we loved the surprise of a kitchen in our room. The location was perfect for walking to the nearest monuments, and the staff even helped us with parking. The room was spacious and the linens were always clean and fresh.

Only downside was our room's proximity to the loading dock next door, which limited our curtain use.

we stayed at state plaza and were upgraded to a suite at no charge, making for a perfect base for our 10am campus tour at GW university. valet parking and a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant added to the convenience. this hotel is in a great location near the national mall, with friendly and helpful staff. the rooms felt like apartments, with plenty of charging locations, and the option for room service. we definitely recommend this hotel as a base when in d. c.

Nothing i didn't like to be fair 😊.
